The printable reading log template
Four sheets, free, no email address: a book page, a session log, a monthly review and a year in books. Print them on A4 or letter paper, punch two holes, and you have a reading journal by tonight. When the arithmetic starts to bore you, the same layout lives in khoshra and adds itself up.
What's in the PDF
- Sheet OneThe book page
- Title, author, dates, format, why you picked it up, ruled marginalia and a verdict. One per book.
- Sheet TwoThe session log
- Nineteen dated rows: date, book, pages from and to, minutes, mood, a note. This is the reading log itself.
- Sheet ThreeThe monthly review
- Totals at the top, then the sentence worth keeping. Ten minutes at the end of the month.
- Sheet FourThe year in books
- Twenty-four numbered lines. The whole reading year on one sheet.
Printing tips: choose Actual size (not "fit to page") so the ruled lines keep their spacing, and print single-sided if you want to punch the sheets into a binder.

The table below is the session log. Use your browser's print dialog — everything else on the page is left off the paper. On a phone, swipe the table sideways to see every column.
